ROOT &

RETURN

Root & Return is a three part offering held on my orchard in Coyle, Washington

An ancestral practice of listening, healing and reciprocity.

Sometimes something in our lives keeps asking to be met. A longing. A hurt. A question. Something we have carried for a long time, or something just beginning to make itself known.

Root and Return is a place to sit with that thread slowly, with the support of the land and your ancestors.

We meet three times, when the time feels right.

There is no cost to begin, only a small gift for the ancestors and a willingness to listen.

Naming the Line

We begin in the orchard with tea and an offering for the ancestors. We sit together with what is moving through your life and listen for the red thread beneath it—the desire, wound, burden or knowing asking for your attention. You leave with a simple action to take home before we meet again.

Listening Beneath the Pattern

When the way feels open, you return. Through journeying, ancestral listening, drum or rattle, and quiet energetic work, we listen beneath the red thread for what your ancestors may have to offer. There is food, tea and an exchange of gifts. You leave with something to carry into your life before we continue.

Receiving the Gift

Our final meeting takes us out onto the land, to a place we choose together. We walk, make an offering, and give thanks for what has moved. What you have received is returned through blessing, attention and reciprocity.

The work is finished in beauty.

The orchard

This work is held on an old orchard in Coyle, above Hood Canal. The land holds a long history of settlement, and has become a place where I listen closely to questions of ancestry, belonging, responsibility and our relationship with place.

There is a sacred well for asking healing and blessing, quiet places beneath the trees for journeying, and a path down to the water for releasing what is ready to go.

The land is not simply where the work happens. It is part of the work.

This work is offered as a gift.

There is no fee for the three gatherings. Each time you come, you bring a small offering for the ancestors—something cooked, grown, gathered, made or chosen with meaning. I prepare something for you as well.

At the completion of our work, you may offer a monetary gift if you feel called to. There is no expected amount and no obligation to give.

Held with care

I prepare and clear the space before and after each gathering. Consent, permission and deep listening guide the work—from the land, the ancestors, the body and, always, from you.

I am not here to heal you. I am here to hold a carefully tended space where you can listen, witness what is moving, and participate in your own healing.

Return & Return is a spiritual and energetic practice and is not psychotherapy or medical care.

That covers the essential boundary without suddenly making the page sound clinical.

What keeps returning?

You don't need to know where the thread leads.

Only that you feel it pulling.

If something in you recognizes that it is time to listen more closely, you are warmly invited to begin.
