Learn the old rhythms of turning fleece into fiber by hand. Each participant will receive a fleece from my family’s fourth-generation Border Cheviot flock and gather with a small group of women for a shared washing day. Together, we’ll work through the hands-on techniques and tools used to wash and prepare wool for your chosen project.
You’ll also receive a beautifully illustrated guide to washing, carding, spinning, and working with wool, along with a private coaching session to explore your questions and vision for the finished fiber. From animal and land to something made slowly, beautifully, and with purpose, we’ll follow the thread together.
